HPV vaccine for men
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a very common infection that is passed on through sexual contact and also affects men. It can cause genital warts and is linked to some types of cancer, such as anal, penile and throat cancer. There is a vaccine that protects against several types of the virus.
At your appointment, Dr Xavier Marquès and Dr Inés Torras assess your case, explain whether the vaccine is recommended for you and on what schedule, and answer your questions about HPV and how to prevent it.

Questions about the vaccine
I want the HPV vaccine
HPV is a very common infection that also affects men: it can cause genital warts and some cancers, such as anal, penile or throat cancer. The vaccine protects against the most dangerous types and can also be given to adult men. It's worth asking about it as soon as possible, because it protects best if given before you are exposed to the virus. At Gineclinic you are seen by the gynecology team: at the appointment we assess whether we recommend it for you and how many doses you need.
